The counter does not run at a constant speed. It accelerates, stalls and lurches on purpose, so anyone tapping to an internal beat gets punished. Watch the digits, not the tempo.
Do not wait for the target to settle on screen. Begin your press slightly before 67, then adjust the lead after each miss. Faster rounds need an earlier press; slower sections need less.
Higher rounds throw decoys — numbers that look like the target for a fraction of a second to bait an early tap. If a 67 appears sooner than the run's pace should allow, it is bait.
Later rounds add shaking, colour glitches, floating text and fake prompts. None of it changes the counter. The only pixels that matter are the digits themselves — everything else is theatre designed to move your eyes off them.
Split your attention with your thumbs, not your eyes. Watch the gap between the two lanes rather than tracking each character separately — the incoming blocks arrive on a shared timeline, so one glance covers both. Jump late rather than early: an early jump lands you straight back down into the block.
